Terms of Service
Last updated: 25 June 2026
These Terms govern your use of LaCarte, a digital menu service operated by Azeredo Paixão, Lda. ("LaCarte", "we", "us"), a company registered in Portugal. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
LaCarte lets restaurants create, edit, animate and translate digital QR-code menus, including AI-assisted features. We may add, change or remove features over time.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be authorized to act for the business you register.
3. Plans, billing and taxes
LaCarte offers paid subscriptions (monthly, quarterly and annual), some with a trial period. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you can cancel any time. Prices are shown excluding VAT; applicable taxes are added at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; by subscribing you also agree to Stripe's terms.
4. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel at any time from the customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and stops future renewals. Except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at [email protected] and we will review it in good faith.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, upload unlawful content, infringe others' rights, or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the platform.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the menu content, images and data you upload. You grant us the licence needed to host, process and display it to operate the service (including AI processing to generate menus, animations and translations).
7. Availability and liability
We work to keep the service available but provide it "as is" without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be communicated through the service or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, and the courts of Portugal have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections.
